The OSA is powered by our school community.There are lots of ways to get involved, from helping at events and volunteering your time, to taking on a Committee or Trustee role. You can also support the OSA by attending events, making a donation or playing the School Lottery.Every contribution, big or small, helps us support the school and create opportunities for pupils across the school.Find the right way for you to get involved below.

Family Fun Day - Saturday 20th June

Join us for an afternoon of fun at Overton Primary School on Saturday 20th June, between 12pm & 3pm.This year we have 3, yes 3, bouncy castles as well as an obstacle course, games, crafts and your opportunity to take part in some wacky races!There will be a selection of stalls, food and drink for you to browse too.Hope to see you there.

Where we do collect sensitive information — for example medical, dietary or allergy information needed to keep a child or adult safe at an event — we will only do so where necessary, keep it secure, and retain it only for as long as required.Depending on what has been provided to us, the data may include:• Names, email addresses, postal addresses and phone numbers• Details of how people would like to be involved with the OSA• Information relating to volunteering, committee or trustee interest• Information required to administer OSA events and activitiesWe only collect and store data that has been given to us directly when people:• Sign up at a school or OSA event• Email their details and a request to be involved with the OSA• Complete online forms hosted by the OSA or its service providers• Complete and sign forms relating to products purchased via a third-party organisation arranged by the OSA as a fundraising opportunity• Make a donation or register an interest in supporting the OSAWe collect and store data that has been given to us indirectly when people:• Contact us using email and social media• Contact us via the schoolChildren's DataAs a PTA we sometimes process limited personal data relating to children, such as names, year groups, event attendance, emergency contact details and photographs.We process this information only where necessary to administer OSA activities, run events safely, or where parental consent has been provided.We keep this data to a minimum, protect it appropriately and retain it only as long as needed.Why We Use This Data• Contact individuals for support and help at school fundraising events• Maintain a volunteer database and mailing list• Contact individuals who have expressed an interest in volunteering, committee or trustee roles• Send information about volunteering opportunities, fundraising activities and OSA news• Compile a list of attendees and year group for school fundraising events• Compile a list of emergency contact numbers for parents• Inform first aiders at events where necessary• Contact winners of raffle and bidding board prizes• Provide information to third-party suppliers where required to administer OSA activities and eventsOur Legal Basis for Using This Data• We need it to organise and administer OSA activities and fundraising events (legitimate interests)• We have obtained consent to use it in a certain way — in particular, we send newsletters, mailing list emails and other marketing communications only to people who have opted in• We have a legitimate interest in communicating with individuals who have asked to be involved in OSA activitiesHow We Store This Data• Any event-specific data will normally be deleted within 2 weeks following the event, unless it is required for administrative, safeguarding, financial or legal purposes• Financial records, including records of donations and payments, will be retained for approximately 6 years as required by charity and tax law• Information relating to volunteer interest, committee or trustee recruitment, and OSA mailing lists will be retained while an individual remains engaged with the OSA or until they ask us to remove their details• The OSA will periodically review stored personal data and remove information that is no longer requiredThird-Party Providers• Carrd — website hosting• Cloudflare — website infrastructure, DNS and security• Tally — online forms and registrations• Brevo — volunteer database, email newsletters and mailing lists• SumUp — donations and payment processing• PTA Events — event ticketing and administrationInternational TransfersSome of our providers are based outside the UK. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we take reasonable steps to ensure it remains protected through appropriate contractual, legal or regulatory safeguards.CookiesOur website uses a small number of essential and functional cookies, including cookies set by Cloudflare for security and performance and by any embedded forms or content (such as Tally or Brevo).Your RightsYou have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, and to ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict its use, or object to its use.
